Alabama/Florida Joint Technical Training Conference

Alabama/Florida Joint Training Conference
May 30-June 1, 2017
Orange Beach, AL

We just finished another great Joint AL/FL Technical Training Conference.

Historically, Alabama and Florida Public Water Utilities have done such a good job providing clean, safe water to their customers that they are rarely on anyone’s radar.

Now since the Flint, Michigan fiasco and other similar events, people
are understandably very concerned about the quality of their tap water. In addition, all this bad press has been a boon for the Bottled Water Industry according to a Bloomberg Article dated August 2, 2016, entitled, Bottled Water to Outsell Soda for the First Time This Year.

It is imperative that we help our Rural Water Utility members combat the false notion that tap water is not safe. This makes the training provided by the Alabama Rural Water Association (ARWA) and the Florida Rural Water Association (FRWA) even more important than ever. This was the focus of information offered at the Technical Training Conference which took place in Orange Beach, AL from May 30 through June 1, 2017. The premise of this article could equally apply to all the training classes provided by the Rural Water Association Family including free Continuing Education Training Classes and fee based Operator Certification Training.
