ARWA Recognized For Leadership Awards

During the recent National Rural Water Association Annual Conference held in Reno, Nevada, October 5-8, 2008, the Alabama Rural Water Association was called to center stage on two occasions to receive outstanding achievement Awards. The Alabama Rural Water Association Staff was recognized during the National Rural Water Association Tribute to Excellence Awards Ceremony for the 2008 Leadership in Public Relations Award and the Training and Technical Assistance 2008 Award. The ARWA was selected among 48 State Rural Water Associations. Winners were selected by the National Rural Water Association Awards Committee comprised of individuals throughout the nation. The NRWA represents State Rural Water Associations who support 26,696 water and wastewater utilities throughout the United States.

The Alabama Rural Water Association has been recognized by the National Rural Water Association for the past five consecutive years for outstanding service. The staff and Board of Directors of the Alabama Rural Water Association appreciate the opportunity to serve the water and wastewater utilities in Alabama with training, technical assistance and other service needs.
